We provide strategy development, planning and commissioning solutions.
Strategy and planning
Strategy requires clarity about an organisation's objectives. It also demands policies and plans to achieve these objectives as well as allocated resources to implement the policies and plans.
We can help you
- understand where you are now by completing a situation analysis, self-evaluation and competitor analysis
- determine where you want to go, setting objectives with you and taking into consideration your vision or mission statements
- develop a strategic plan with you that shows how to get there
- by supporting the implementation of the strategy, including resource allocation, looking at alternative structures and devising processes
- evaluate the effectiveness of your strategy.
We believe strategies or plans should be ‘live’ and relevant, rather than an amalgamation of service or departmental wishes or a list of conflicting initiatives contained in a document.
Specifically for our public sector clients, our approach to strategy development and planning is cognisant of national and local policy directives, organisational goals and resource constraints.
We help you know where you want to be.
Commissioning
Commissioning requires needs assessment, resource allocation, implementation and monitoring. Commissioners act on behalf of the public, investing funds and making choices about services.
We can help you
- determine what your local population needs are now and could be in the future
- understand what the current services provided for your clients are and audit these as needed
- identify any gaps between your current population needs and available services establish priorities
- understand finances and resources for services you have and what you may require in future
- conduct an analysis on a formal or informal basis to understand your local market for care providers
- develop service specifications and procure needed services, working alongside your contract officers
- develop frameworks for monitoring and auditing the services once they are in place, as well as reviewing and re-negotiating contracts based on activity, value for money and quality
- determine the pace at which you can implement the commissioning plan or strategy
- communicate the commissioning plan or strategy with stakeholders.
All of the activities in relation to your strategy and commissioning assignment will have clear communications and reporting mechanisms and the involvement of key stakeholders as necessary and agreed with you.
